Rent in Hinckley
Rent in Hinckley

If you are looking to rent a property in Hinckley then you are on the right track because Fosse House can accommodate your needs.  Whether you are searching to rent a flat or other property in Hinckley we can provide you with all the information you need.  We have a review of local area information including Hinckley schools, crime rates and much more.

Before you start looking for a property, sit down and agree on what you are looking for.  It is important to list your priorities such as distance from work, schools, parking etc. You should remember that we will ask for references which may include previous/ current landlord and/ or your employer. Therefore make sure you have details of these contacts to show us once you find a property that you wish to rent.

Our advise is to always view in daylight hours, if you can, because you are more likely to spot problems.  In addition, you will also be able to see how much natural light enters the property.

When you view the property, you may find it useful to take the following with you:
  1. A family member, partner or friend: This is for safety and a second opinion.
  2. Pen and paper:  If you are viewing more than one property, you can make notes about the property as well as any answers to questions that you have asked the Letting Agent.
  3. A digital camera or mobile phone with a built-in camera: It is always useful to take some pictures so that  you can remember what it was like.
When you view the property, you may want to ask the following questions:
  1. Council Tax. Don't forget you can get this from www.upmystreet.com.
  2. Water and sewage rates. This is not always from the same company and can be separate bills.
  3. How is the property heated?
  4. How much does it cost to heat. At least get an estimate of previous gas and electricity bills.
  5. Can they have cable or satellite TV?
  6. Are they in range to have Broadband Internet. You can find this by entering the postcode on any good internet service providers' website.
  7. What are the neighbours like?
  8. If the property is a flat then other questions you should ask are:
    • Do you have share of the Freehold?
    • Is there a ground rent?
    • What is the frequency and amount of the maintenance charge? This may cover things like cleaning common areas such as the entrance.
    • What is included in the price such as curtains, carpets, washing machine etc.
